There has always been four kingdoms, and with it there has always been a struggle for the position of strongest. Power slips though, as it is wont to do, and it perhaps only takes a single indiscretion for the whole balance to shift in a drastic way.
This was the fate of the Hearts.
To restore the original balance the Hearts have made a secret alliance, one illegal in every sense of the term. Yet to restore power they push on regardless. All the while though the Diamonds are hot on their heels, Clubs not far behind them in a desire to usurp them and strengthen their chance of dominance, a position currently held by the Spades. Of course, only the smallest shift could change all of this, and perhaps it yet will.
