Please meet me at the local noodle shop, six blocks north from the Academy, at 6:00pm. \(=^.^=)/~♥ Yao bit his lip as his brown eyes scoured the hectic evening streets of Tokyo, Japan. Surrounding him were bright lights of all colors, flashing, blinking, and rushing past him. The night air was filled with the chaotic symphony of the city. Even as he sat alone at the noodle shop in his little Academy uniform, Yao could not fight back a slight dizzy feeling buzzing in his head from the animated sights around him. Still, he was happy, excited, really. He hoped that his invitations had reached everyone designated on each individual envelope. Tonight was going to be special and, with any luck, rather fun...or at least entertaining.
Yes, Yao knew his younger siblings quite well. He had left each note anonymous and stuck in the dorm room doors of each person. Yao had spent enough time raising them to know that if he sent them out with his name signed at the bottom or had handed the invites out personally none of his siblings would attend. But they were curious children, and Yao was clever. He knew an mysterious note would draw them all in, like moths to the flame. Only Yao had no intention to hurt his family. No, he simply wanted to see them all. He organized this entire plan for one thing only: A giant Asian family reunion.
Most of them will probably think this torture when they arrive, though, aru... Yao thought, a slightly melancholy mood setting in. It was well known that a dangerously high level of tension fumed between the Asian nations, a tension built from defiance, greed, betrayal, and loss. And as much as he would like to deny it, Yao knew each of his siblings were completely different: Kiku, blunt and independent. Li Xiao, reserved, hiding his emotions from view. Mei, sweet hearted, but nervous and rarely listens to her eldest brother. Im Yong, energetic and enthusiastic, but lacked a sense of others’ personally property and space. Tito, laidback, but enjoyed boasting his intelligence. And then there was Yao himself, the eldest and weary of the changing world, but tried his best to pull his family together. This plan for a family reunion was yet another attempt to restart a pleasant relationship between the siblings. …Even if this does not work, I shall keep trying. Family never gives up on each other, aru.
With a firm sense of conviction, Yao scanned the streets again, searching for a familiar face, but found none. He turned back to his half eaten dish of cold somen, but was too excited to take another bite before at least one of his siblings arrived. He absentmindedly scratched one of Panada-chan‘s fuzzy black ears from within the woven basket on the low bench beside his own, mind elsewhere. It had been too long since Yao had seen his family. Although he could not speak on their behalf, he knew that he needed them now. Yao had never faced such a predicament like being turned into a mortal and dropped into a strange school. Everything seemed so bizarre and unreal, confusing and stressful. He had no idea what to think and where to go. In all his years, Yao had never felt so alone. He needed his siblings, their familiar faces, voices, and personalities. Yes, they could be difficult at times, but Yao knew them so well. In such a strange dilemma, he yearned for something to remind him of home, his old life as the mighty China, and his peaceful years as an older brother.
”I hope they arrive soon, aru…”
~~~ OOC: Sorry It's rather short! *is just really eager to get started* ^_^
"It Started Out As A Feeling" Clutching the mysterious invitation in her pale hands Mei read it over once again. She’d probably read it about a dozen times by now but it was so mysterious she really couldn’t prize her chestnut orbs away from it. Smiling lightly she wondered who could have sent such a mysterious note, and she wondered if she was the only one to receive such an invitation. She hoped she wasn’t, it’d to weird if that was the case especially since she was in such a foreign place. Nevertheless curiosity was getting the better of her, and Mei was quickly drawn to the destination the note read. She smoothed the creases on her school uniform skirt as she nervously made her way through the busy streets of Tokyo.
She hoped she was going the right way; she didn’t want to get lost. She bit her lip worriedly, what if she did get lost? What if nobody found her and she was left wondering the streets of Tokyo forever? Well forever was a stretch to far but what if she did run into trouble? Would anybody look for her? It wasn’t as though she was a nation anymore she could thank the strange academy for that problem. And then what would happen to her country? Would it waste away or would they find a replacement for her? She’d honestly never considered those things. But now since they were all stuck in such a strange place it seemed like a reasonable thing to consider.
Mei stopped quietly as the hustle and bustle of the nightly rush hour took over the streets, people of different shape and stature past her without a second thought, groups of friends laughing and linking arms rushed passed her and a pang of jealousy scoured through the tiny brunettes eyes. Shaking her head she re-arranged the pink flowers that decorated her long brown locks, keeping them in place. After all she didn’t want to look messy, even if it was an anonymous note she still wanted to look presentable. Her eyes danced back to the note in her hands, as she read the destination again. It read the noodle shop.
So that’s where she was heading, how ditzy of her. She’d been so worried she’d forgotten the place she was supposed to meet the mysterious inviter. And wasn’t she in luck, right in front of her in all its brightly coloured glory stood the noodle shop! Mei blinked gently her long lashes brushed against her pale skin as her chestnut orbs focused on the shining store. It was pretty. She fumbled the piece of paper back into her pocket as she scanned the seats for a familiar face. And she found one. Her jaw dropped slightly as she realised who the lone figure was. Her teacher (could she still call him that here not that she liked calling him it anyway), China.
“Y-Yao?”she began her eyes narrowing with realisation and accusation. They softened however as she another form of realisation hit. “I mean, Ni hao brother.” It was strange. There was a lot of heated tension between the two of them as usually she couldn’t stand anything he said to her. Nor would she listen to him. (though her qualms with him weren’t as bad as some of her siblings) she was still happy to see him. It had been so confusing and bewildering waking up in the academy, and now she knew one of her siblings were safe she was strangely content. “So it was you who sent the invitations, shi?.” She said softly slinking into a chair; she found her eyes meeting the table before they darted back meeting her siblings gaze once again. “D-do you know how we got here?” she asked in a half whisper her sweet voice lost its usually cheery tone as she looked up with hopeful eyes. She only hoped he did, older siblings were supposed to know things like that! They were supposed to know what to do. “I just really miss Taiwan...”
"Which Then Grew Into A Hope" Ah sorry for the incredibly rubbish post. >.> my taiwan muse offcially hates me today : (
He really wasn’t the one to follow anonymous notes, but he never really followed notes from people he knew. Unless he was going to get something out of it. Like food. And this note revealed a destination which indeed had food in the form of noodles. If the invitee wanted to meet him in a noodle shop meant they wanted to give him food, right? Then he would comply!
Yong Soo wandered around the city centre, peering into windows of all the shops. Hey, he couldn’t help but be interested in all the Japanese products (which totally originated in him from the beginning!). The clothes were pretty neat, the different mixes of Western and Asian styles were abundant. The Korean tried to fight the urge to dive in and spend all of his money buying fancy trainers and jeans, but he doubted that whoever sent him the note did not want to see him piled up with bags of shopping…he could go later after the meet up.
Sadly that urge did not last long and now Yong Soo was trekking through the street with a few bags of clothing. Oh well, the prices were too tempting. Oh maybe he could of used the changing rooms to get dressed in his new stylish clothing! Damn it all!
His hazel eyes scanned the streets, looking out for any sign of a little noodle shop. Oh god, he hoped that there was only one noodle shop! No address was left on the teensy note! Maybe this was some scheme made by the person who wrote the note? They wanted him to spend all his money and then get lost! Oh no--
Wait…was that a noodle shop right there down the road? He was safe! He ran full pelt towards the colourful little shop, his school trainers scuffing up dirt and splashing into puddles as he ran. His bags swang dangerously back and forth, narrowly missing passers by.
He came to a hasty stop and caught his breath (not that he was unhealthy! He was a fit young man, both body wise and romantically!) and stared through the window. Oh the smells of cooking noodles made Yong Soo drool. But wait…he saw two people sitting down at a dinky little table. A male with long, brown hair tied in a ponytail, the other a girl also with long brown hair who fashioned a pair of flower hair clips. He…he knew these two! Pushing the door open the Korean clumsily made his way towards them, catching his feet on a few chairs as he went past.
“Aniki!! Mei-Mei!!!” He yelled, stumbling over one last chair and almost landing face first into the table the two Asian’s were sitting at. Oh Christ he was so happy! He ended up babbling on in Korean as he seemed to loose the ability to express himself in plain English. Oh god he had missed them…
He had missed them so much.
(Heya guys, sorry for the belated start on here but as you have heard I have exams coming up, so this miiiiight be the only post I'll make. But, I will be back after May though! So expect lots of posts then <3)
