Taking Lichtenstein back, she was slightly unsure of what the reason why she applied to work here. Was it because of cute outfits? Because she was lonely? Money? Or maybe just because of the sweet treats? She still was still questioning herself wildly thinking of many horizons, close, but yet still had no cigar. As the pink and white frilled garment she wore, flew while the wind blew opening the door, her wondering mind brought more curiosity gazing around through the scenery. A simple place yes it was, but to Lilli it was more of a adorable place as well.
Bright, and colorful colors that made everything look happy and joyful only made the little Female grin, if she wasn't so caught off guard from the other cute ' anime ' (that is what they called it here, right?) accessories that scattered around the premises. Walking forward she noticed the other workers, most likely more experienced then she was, greet her as she smiled and bowed at them confirming their agreement; and as she looked around though not much customers were here today, plenty of them greeted Lilli herself that only brought the girl with a smile.
It wasn't much of pain to realize that people would stare at her occasionally, really. Lilli was quite embarrassed on the first day, actually very flustered she was, but sooner or later before she knew it she got used to it quick. She was taught to be friendly to those who caused her no harm, and cautious to the ones that looked like they did, and since there wasn't doubt to her people were not nice here, it was only proper to show manners so she wouldn't be rude. And as the time went by, she became used to the customs in where she'd work at the cafe. Heck, you might even could say she begin to like it.
But there wasn't a thing in the world would she trade, to see her brother again, even not for this. Although this place let her feel less lonely from meeting new people, she still felt empty since she had lacked a sibling. While she served the customers around her, each and every day and still now, there wasn't a second to say that her smile was still hiding the hopeless face of missing Bruder. Yet though, Lilli knew and always told her that he would come for herself no matter what, and thought it'd be best to carry on and chin up getting used to this life! That is what Vash would want best, ja? Besides despite the weird changes her life, she actually liked living it. No war, no worries of fighting--she missed everyone dearly she did, but she had met a couple countries beforehand in the same place so if she looked she most likely would of found everybody else.
And while she thought about it maybe Vash was the reason why she chose to work here... Things weren't well as cheap as they were when she was a country---And only being left with starter money from her suitcase she had to make a living in Japan somehow, and the Cafe was the first place that popped in her head. A adorable scenery, that didn't involve anything dangerous that came to mind, it was probably something that she could do best at; and probably also something that Vash wouldn't mind her doing--well, the maid theme and dress thing could be odd for him but it was still cute....
So as she got her hopes up once again, after serving another customer passing by she turned her back from the opposite of the door conversing having a few breaks with another worker, before hearing the door bell ring again. She didn't much pay attention who it was, but lightly she spoke with the group of workers who said the same saying,
"Welcome home, m-master..." Before talking again, smiling and taking off to another table.
notes just pretend you didn't see her. 8> yet. she will be by your table. 8| and serve you next. 8I

One of the first thing he had done when arriving in the city, was to go and check almost every café and dinning place he could find. There was no way he'd go pay for something he could find cheaper another place. That was what he had been using most of his spare time on since he got here. Well, at least most of it. A lot of time had also been used on discussing with the school; they didn't like how trigger happy he was, and that he even carried weapons in the first place. They did respect his argument that he never shot to kill, nor did he use it for threatening. It was simply for defence. Yet they kept insisting that he didn't need it, and as long as he kept carrying a gun, there was a chance he would injure - or even worse - kill a person. So his beloved rifle was no longer around, but he hadn't given up just like that. Whenever he had time, he'd go look into the Japanese weapon law and find a hole to get them back. Even if it meant that he wasn't allow to point it at people. He felt ... naked? without the weapon on his back. Until then he would be carrying a smaller gun, that he had hidden somewhere on himself. A gun that nobody, but himself of course, knew about. It was not the same at all, but it would do.
Somehow he had ended up at some maid café, a concept he found very much Japanese. Not a place he normally would have visited, but with a switch look at their menu, that hung right outside, he decided their coffee wasn't too expensive - but he could easily agree with himself that he had seen it cheaper. He sighed, and went inside, trying to see this more as an experience than an actual place for getting a meal. This place was probably visited mostly by people who wanted to look at cute girls in maid dresses, and then go home and fap. Or whatever those people did. Not that he had a need to know, really.
Basch could almost have backed all the way out, the minute he placed a foot inside. The very warm welcome was a bit too much over the top for him, with the girls in their short dresses, eyes shinning of eager to serve the customer. They seemed to fill the place like bees around a beehive, buzzing the place making sure no one missed anything. It almost crept him out how all of them had the same sweet smile. How friendly, open and even happy, they seemed. He was lead to a free table. Barely giving the girl that tried to service him a thought. She said something he only heard the half of, and disappeared when he had placed himself. Giving the menu another glaze just for the heck of it. Everything here seemed to be reasonable at its price. Reasonable, at least. Not cheap. Which he would defiantly have preferred.
Before he could look back up and put on the 'I'm ready to order' look, while trying to catch eye contact with one of the waitress, as you usually would do; there were one in front of him like a hawk. A little pretty, small framed hawk. No, she looked more a doe than a hawk. "Just some coffee." He told her. The menu had named everything, but he didn't bother to play their weird 'game' too much. She said something in Japanese, bowed and disappeared. He wondered for a second if she even understood it. Well, he'd probably find out soon enough.
Making a small flinch, he realized how some of them stared at him. With big fascinated eyes. When he caught their eyes and glared back, they just smiled and quickly looked away. I'll never get used to Japan, he thought. Being blonde, green eyed, and clearly from the other side of the planet made a lot of people stare. And the staring always made him picky, irritated, and uneasy. Good thing Lilli wasn't here, how much wouldn't people stare at her. Being the cute small innocent, and careful girl she was. He wondered how she fared at home right now, hoping she had been able to take care of everything without him. Her well being was one of his major problems at the moment, that had kept him almost sleepless some nights. He had to find a way to contact her soon.

Gentle she was, when she served her customers. Her eyes sparkled at each person she'd lay down orders with chatting amongst them, always making sure that they felt like they were needed. The wondrous smiles she got back from them she wouldn't have minded that to be her only payment, but actually those grins were giving her more then just her ' average ' salary. No no no, Lilli wasn't the greedy type who was willing to do anything for money, but it was nice to do something like this, if it meant she would get more pay. Besides her Brother had always been the type that needed as much money as he could so she could do this for him, and besides like she said, she didn't really have a problem in giving people grins.
After putting her last order down for the customer she was currently assisting she tipped her head nervously before heading off the back where the small kitchen laid proposing a small cut of cake, fixing it so it could look right and perfect for her client. Ah, strawberry. Yum~ Lilli was so tempted to have a lick, it was so adorable, the cake it was...She almost got off track at her order staring at it....Looking at the bunny-designed plate that held above it... Nnn, it would have nice if there was a bunny designed cake too....
O-Oh!
But afterwards suddenly getting out her trance, she lead herself out in her work posture ambulating the path saying ' excuse me ' to each person if necessary before quickly and happily setting the plate down. "This is for you master, I made it just for you I hope you like it..." Her Japanese wasn't as strong as the rest of the others, but she had learned quite a few phrases by working at the cafe from her peers. Of course, the others were nice to have Lichtenstein around as well, because she was always helpful when it came to foreigners since she knew well German, and fluent English. It didn't happen much really since most foreigners knew how to already speak Japanese (they were otakus of course, how else would they know) but once Lilli reached the front desk, she found a girl stand in front of her with a confused a look, for her request.
' There's foreigner over there, ' She told pointing at a direction. ' I don't know what he means by ' Just get me coffee? ' Looking over at her direction the small girl noticed the man, though he couldn't much see his face because of the menu in front of him, she obviously could tell by the blonde strands and wide stares that everyone was gawking at him. It was strange though, to Lilli. Most foreign students would know some Japanese didn't they? Or at least try to be taught? She could tell, by the clothes he was wearing seemed like a school uniform, but she still shrugged mentally and nodded gently to the other girl, escaping her thoughts. "Don't worry, I help, hai?" She smiled. It was almost her break anyway, so it couldn't hurt to serve one more. Running back to the kitchen getting the coffee like she said, almost getting distracted again by the cute bunny cup and plate aligned with it she walked over to the menu-covered face smiling setting down the cup, bowing.
"Master, I am done preparing your coffee...I hope you enjoy my--" But before finishing she got caught off with her curiosity that made her look sideways across from the menu to see the face, widening her eyes highly at the familiar appearance. "B--.....Bruder?!"
notes almost didn't see this for a second. .w. lol u said fap [/blockquote]

[atrb=border,0,true] "B--.....Bruder?!"
As soon as Basch heard the voice, his mind vent on pause. He just stared straight ahead for a time that felt like forever - but in real it was no more than a few seconds. Eyes widened. Had he just heard what he thought he had heard? Or was he going crazy in the middle of café? No, couldn't be. When she had come over with the coffee, he hadn't taken too much notice of the voice. Other than thinking it sounded strangely familiar, and didn't even take too much notice when she cut herself off. Now he was scolding himself for not noticing the accent and the sweet tone before now. He swallowed dryly. "Lilli..." He said more calm than he had expected himself to.
Before she even had the chance to make a reply, he was standing in front of her. Placing a hand on each of her shoulders, looking directly into her eyes. Her surprised green meeting his own pair of concerned ones. "Lilli! What are you doing here, at this maid café? No, why are you working here? ..What are you even doing in Tokyo in the first place? Are you okay? You're not hurt, right?" It all came mixed in the four languages he knew best. Barely thinking about his own choice of words - or language. He was about to ask how in the world she had gotten here, but remembered he didn't even know how he had ended up in Japan himself.
He inspected her with his eyes, as if he didn't believe a reply from her wouldn't be enough and truthfully. She was a truthful girl, and he had never doubted her, nor experienced her lying. Not that he could remember at least. He just wanted to make sure himself. Even if it was a rather ... strange for him to see her dressed like that; he had to admit she looked cute.
OOC: It's so sucky sorry, but I'm still packing for Berlin and all. So I wrote it during my small breaks, and that's why it's a bit .. derpy. Hope there's enough to reply to.
