SIGURÐUR
Name me “indigo”, call me that name I love
Color me indigo, immerse me in this dye just a bit longer
- color me indigo, ALiCE'S EMOTION
NAME: Sigurður
ooc: I haven't given him a last time as I personally like to think of him without. Why? Because the last names on Iceland works as they do. Instead of a 'family' name they use their fathers first name and add 'sson' or 'sdóttir'. Since he doesn't have a father I think it'd be weird if he had a last name. Though if you still want me to go find one I'll just do that ~
AGE: Sixteen
GRADE: Sophomore.
NATIONALITY: Icelandic
POSITIVE TRAITS:
- Quiet. He's not a loud person, but this doesn't mean he's one of those that never say a word. He just prefers to keep his voice a bit down, rarely yells at all. If he's in big crowds where you have to be the loudest to be heard he'll most likely just give up and not say anything.
- Modest. He's very well aware that he's not the biggest or strongest person around, at all. He likes to keep low, and would never brag about something he haven't done. Sometimes he even underestimate himself a bit.
- Passion. Despite the cold outer he tries to keep, deep down he is in real strongly emoted. He is like the lands he comes from, cold and harsh but keeps small secret places that is really worth looking for. He only shows his more deep feelings in so small portions, that one might no notice it if they doesn't know him well.
- Relaxed. He takes most stuff with a grain of salt, and doesn't want to make such a big problem out of anything if it can be avoided.
- Independent. Growing up so far away from everything, and mostly having contact with Norway (and sometimes Denmark) made him grow up a bit fast, or at least made him able do on his own if he had to.
NEGATIVE TRAITS:
- Cold. To everyone and the world he might seems cold and collected, but not unfriendly. Just choosing not to take interest in their doing, and is not the one to approach people - not even those he knows already.
- Short-Tempered. Though he doesn't seem like the person he actually has quite a temper, but he only shows it to a few certain people. His anger aren't that bad as he can't really do anything anyway, it's more like he tries to puff himself up and get his statement through.
- Bad Health. He often gets sick, one way or another. Though he seems to accept the sickness and just waits patiently till he gets well again. He also suffers from asthma, something that causes him to cough a lot now and then whenever he forgets his medicine.
- Bad with Money. He's not just good with them, and he doesn't care too much of them. He doesn't even want to try to figure out how to work with them and keep and running economy. Though; he has gotten into trouble once, so now he's a bit more careful.
- Closed. A bad habit that he is not really aware of, but he is rather closed to the rest of the world. He haven't had much contact with others than those he already know. It's not like he hates everyone else, and wants to close himself off, but because he's gotten used to not talking with many different people.
LIKES:
- Liquorice. He has a fondness for the candy that mostly the rest of the world seems to dislike for its distinct flavour. One that would expect candy to be sweet and melt on the tongue will be very disappointed, and that's one of the reasons he like it. It's not sugar-sweet.
- Mr. Puffin. A puffin that has been around since he was a kid, and he could not imagine living without it. For a time being it was his only friend, so he has created a certain strong bond to the bird and he's always seen with it. He often talk to the bird even though it can't reply, and he hate when people catch him in doing so. He bears his feelings on the skin when it comes to Mr. Puffin.
occ: I'm NOT going to make Mr. Puffin talk and be as human as it is in the Hetalia manga/anime. Because I'm not sure I can roleplay like that bird @w@ Instead he's just like any regular bird, just with a bit more personality. - Outdoors. Even though he doesn't seem like the person, he really enjoys the outdoors a lot. He comes from harsh lands where nature almost are one with the houses too. If the wind decides to sweep through everything, it does so. If a volcano decides to stop everything around it, it will do so. And so on. He secretly adores how uncontrollable things can be.
- Norway. He won't admit it, like he might would have done long ago. But he cares deeply for his brother, and would be completely lost without him.
- Horse Riding. On an Icelandic Horse that is. He likes this horse that haven't changed much over so many years, and that is so unique compared to other horses. He likes how it's still one of the way of transporting on Iceland, as the nature won't allow big roads (that'd just ruin everything anyway).
- Hot Springs. The blue lagoon to be more exact. He finds them so very relaxing, and even though he is not a person to be stressed in the first places, he thinks it's one of the stress-cure you can find.
DISLIKES:
- Being pestered with calling Norway for "Big Brother".
- People that tries to bother him in general.
- Economic and money.
- Big crowds.
- Big cities.
FEARS:
- Everyone getting mad at him.
- Losing those dear to him.
out of character
NAME: Nicku, but just call me whatever you feel like really XD
OTHER CHARACTERS: Switzerland
In other places: Besides Iceland, I've roleplayed crack!Japan (Because apparently I'm a good crack Japan xD), shortly Switzerland and my own oc Macau.
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
This is just going to be some random stuff I just come up with, since I don't have anything else to post. Sorry in advance if it sucks D:
Sigurður stared out of the window, almost with drunken longing shinning through his hazed eyes. He didn't care how horrible it was, how bad he felt; it was beautiful outside. It almost looked like sacred snow, dancing through the air. But it wasn't. The small white and grey fragile fragments that slowly flew past and gently on the ground, came from a volcano. Eyjafjallajökull was erupting and everyone in the are and beyond that was so angry at him, because their precious airplanes couldn't get up. Why couldn't they just let him at peace as long as this continued?
Though it was so very wrong of him, he enjoyed it. Somewhat at least. It made him sick yes, but it also made him a bit fierce. Like he wanted to go and destroy something, not kill it, but break it. To get out and up to stare at the fire and lava eating the landscape ever so easily. It was the only time he really did feel destructive. When a volcano awoke, he could really feel like how the whole land was waking up from the long long sleep. Iceland wasn't quite a country that was silent all the time, like the geysers kept it awake. But this was something completely different. Something that the other countries, with their planes and deadlines he was ruining right now, couldn't understand. Oh how they didn't get this was something out of his hand, and how good it felt to be fully awake again.
He rose. Shaking a bit from the sudden moment, that his body wasn't prepared for. He ignored it. He walked across the room and to the front door to put on his jacket. Mr. Puffin, who was very well aware of what was going on with Sigurður, came out from another room and stared at the Icelander. The Icelander looked back at the bird with eyes that was sorry. "Sorry, Mr. Puffin. I just have to get out before I go crazy in here." He informed the bird and opened the door. Mr. Puffin stared a bit at him, but as if it understood it returned to the room it came from. Sigurður smiled thankful and opened the door to go outside in the greyness the waited out there.
